Thank you for your kind comment. The more I learn about mid-century Australian ballet, the more astonished I am by the people who made it happen and the feats, both on stage and off, required of them to do it. Also, tracing the direct trajectory of the relationship between that and our ballet culture today is a wonderful adventure. Miss Tasker’s career is a good example of that relationship. First she was a player in significant events, then she passed all she had learned and knew to subsequent generations whether they went on as practitioners or members of the audience.
